Are you ready for the Sew-In?

Wednesday, January 13, 2010 15 Comments »
A few days ago, I blogged about the Friday Night Sew-in. I'm ready. If you haven't seen the info yet, take a detour to Heidi's blog, then go through my check list.

Snuggly jammies and slippers?

Check!

Plenty of snacks for energy and beverages to keep you hydrated?

Check!

The remote control; plenty of entertaining DVDs; some lotion to sooth your busy hands; and tissues for those frustrating moments when you need to unsew the same darned seam for the third time?
Oh, and a project? How could I forget a project!

Check!

A scented candle to help set the mood, and last (but definitely not least) your trusty feline Quality Control Manager.

Check and double check!

Well, it sure looks like I'm all set. Are you?

Pat

Hey Kim, did you catch one of the Kim-inspired tissue cozies in the picture?

You made me literally LOL. I love it.

When I do my reminder post later today - I'm going to link to this.

See you tomorrow!

Hey Heidi -- I had fun doing it, although my my feline QCM didn't seem to pleased.

You know I'll be there in spirit with you all -- wish I could be there in person with YOU, though.

Hey -- did I see some flying geese peeking out from a photo in your check list? Does this mean you'll be stitchin geese?

Kimberly: yep, those are geese. Actually it's the Flying Geese Crossing quilt that I started in your class at Lancaster last year. It's morphed into a generous double bed quilt for my grand daughter. All the blocks are sewn & labeled for placement, but they've been in a pile waiting to be sewn together for months. I figured this was a good excuse to just get it done. Hopefully I'll be able to add the inner white border, but have now decided that I want to do a flying geese border as well. I have TONS of extra strips & my Kimberly Einmo Flying Geese ruler all warmed up, so maybe you WILL be able to hear PA geese honking all the way down there in FL.

If I can get the wireless internet to work on my laptop, I'll have it set to facebook and AIM. Check out my Blogger profile & feel free to stop on by. The kettle will be on, the tap on the box of wine primed, and we might even be able to scare up some popcorn.

Great post! It's 1pm here and I'm already back in my jammies, making a spinach artichoke dip and I've got m&ms ready!! My "helpful" cat Ruby is ready to get to work!

Cute: I love posting pictures How neat. wish I was able to post pictures without a hassle. Right now for me to get pictures it is a long process. My computer is an oldie and doesn't have the disc slot. I don't have a cable it costs $$$$. So I have to rely on hubby or daughter to download when it is continent for them. then they have to send it to my computer. Hopefully, I'll be getting a new computer after tax returns. YES! count down.

Hi everybody! I'am here to join the party. I have my jammies on and I'am busy sewing on a quilt right now. Love those kitties. Purr Purr! How cute!
Well, taking a break to get on here. Going to go have a nice cup of hot tea, relax with Muffin, then get busy again. See you guys later. Love the photos!

Well, the best laid plans....

Wanted to work on my flying geese quilt top, but the crud is starting to wrap it's tentacles around my throat and sinuses. I settled for something less ambitious -- a big ol' tote bag. Junior (the cat) is helping, as is a dose of Mucinex.
