Pimp My Sewing Machine

Geez, a mind is a terrible thing to waste.
Several months ago --could have been 6-7 months ago -- someone blogged about vinyl decal sheets you could use to decorate your sewing machine. I'm not talking about the sets of decals used for Featherweight restoration, I'm talking about flames, and art deco swirls and hot-colored flowers. As I recall, there were even ones suitable for long-arms.
Do you think I can remember who it was that blogged, or what the web site was for the decals? Nuh-uh. Gone from my brain like faster than you can spend a $20 gift certificate to the Fat Quarter Shop.

If you find out, let me know. That sounds fun.
Count me as another mind that's wasted. I remember it too. Can't seem to find it. But I'll let you know if I stumble on it again!
I do remember it was the Bernina site, but not in the states...overseas somewhere...try checking there...
I remember because I actually went to the site and though, well shoot...i can't order them from across the pond...lol
Found it!! Is this what you are looking for?

and check out the first headline...SKINS for your Bernina...
Wow, Nancy! Thanks. But I am bummed because my machine is too old and I also don't live across the pond.
Nancy, that's not it, although my googling efforts took me there too. These "decals" were not for a specific machine. They came on a sheet & the designs could be cut apart and placed wherever you wanted them -- separately, or in clusters. you could just put a few accent designs on your machine or go nuts and really pimp it out. This is going to make me crazy.
This is going to make me crazIER. Fixed it.

It's not the Bernina site. The bernina skins only fit certain models, and mine isn't one of them : ( The site I am thinking of had designs that could be cut out and put wherever you wanted on your machine; they were not "skins" in the sense that they were not designed to envelope your machine.
My friend Kathy (no blog) has trouble posting on Blogger, but she sent me a link to the very sitye I was lookibng for: http://quiltastick.com/
I'm kind of rushing before going to work to post this so I haven't had time to cruise the site, but it looks like the decals are for long arms. I could have sworn they had them on a smaller scale for regular machines as well --0 II'll write to them and ask. Stilol, you could cut these motifs out and make the smaller ones work on your piecer. Paula, I'm thinking you are all over this one!
You bet I am! LOL. Now I need to go measure and figure what would work on my machine. And if I have some left over, since they are outdoor grade vinyl, why I guess I'll add them to my car too.

This one is great. Wish I could find something like this, but less flowery :)
